Our Story, Mission & Values
Fundamental Daycare was founded by Erica Martinez, an educator with over 15 years of experience and a mother of two beautiful girls. Erica’s passion for teaching began at an early age when her favorite game was playing school with her siblings, where she always took the role of the teacher. This passion led her to pursue a career in education, starting as an assistant teacher in a preschool in Brooklyn. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education in 2010, Erica spent years teaching elementary students, guiding their development and shaping their futures.
Our Story
As a mother, Erica struggled to find a daycare that combined a caring and educational environment for her own children. It was through this challenge that she realized the need for a daycare that provided both. In 2021, Fundamental Daycare was born. With a mission to bridge her expertise in elementary education with early childhood learning, Erica opened the doors of Fundamental Daycare, offering a nurturing space where young children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Our Mission
The mission of Fundamental Daycare is to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children ages 2 years old to 12 years.
Our values are to provide an encouraging educational experience, promoting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Committed to the families we serve, we strive to give parents complete peace of mind, while being seen as a shining example of what a quality childcare center should be.

Our staff reviews the application and follows up with any required documents or missing info, if applicable.
Accept Seat
& Pay the Tuition
Once you receive your offiical invitation via email to attend FD, pay the tuition.
Onboarding Items
Parents complete their packing list of supplies and any outstanding documents before the 1st day of attendance.
One-Day Experience
Students paricipate in a 1-day experience of being observed, guided and assesed by teachers.
